About
Ria, a trained Bharatanatayam (Indian Classical) dancer, celebrity choreographer, professional model, actress, presenter, speaker, business woman and entrepreneur.
With a degree in (BA) Performing Arts, from The University of Salford, Ria is continuing her acting training with David Johnson Drama, in Manchester. Her acting portfolio spans from playing the lead role of Goddess Sita, to thousands, in outdoor arts theatre production “Cast the Light” to playing the lead role of Geeta Aulakh in “Nightmare in Suburbia”, presented on the Crime Channel, on Sky.
Ria established her dance and theatre company, Ri Ri’s Dance Academy, in April 2011 and since then broke the Bollywood Guinness World Record, won numerous business awards, is a national television dancer and was even invited to perform for the Embassy of India, in Riga, Latvia! The Academy has performed at various awards ceremonies, corporate events and has attracted commissioning work from
reputable agencies, such as Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority and Manchester City Council. Ria was was commissioned by Illuminos, Video Projection Mapping specialists, to create unique dance pieces, projected on the wall of Debenhams, in Bury, as part of the town’s Light Night event, funded by ACE. She has worked with a range of celebrities through her dance journey such as Bollywood star Abhay Deol and “The Real Housewives of Cheshire”.
As well as modelling for numerous magazines, Ria is, also, a keynote speaker and was invited to give a lecture at Europe’s largest The Business Show, held at The Excel, London. Ria was recognised as one of the top 100 students from The Salford of University and is an ambassador and guest lecturer for the establishment.

Actress
A Manchester based British Asian actress who always brings energy and dedication to the role. Ria has a variety of experience ranging from television, stage, outdoor theatre to hosting, such as The Manchester Culture Awards 2019 alongside Coronation Street star, Jennie McAlpine.

Dancer
Ria is the Director of multi-award winning, bollywood company, Ri Ri’s Dance Academy. As well as holding a Guinness World Record Ria has, also, been seen dancing on BBC3, ITVBe & Channel 4. Ria is a celebrity dance choreographer and has worked with Manchester City Football Club & ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’.
Awards
Ria Meera has a number of awards including: a Bollywood Guinness World Record (2011), the E3 “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” (2013), “Proficiency Award in Dance & Leadership” (2014), “Pride in Hyde Award” (2019) and will be receiving an Alumni Achievement Award from The University of Salford in December 2019.


100 Women Stories
In March 2019, Ria Meera Munshi was featured in the 100 Women Stories book written by Gulnaz Brennan. The book is a collection and celebration of 100 outstanding women.
